LONG BIO

Manya Chylinski is a speaker, advisor, and communications specialist who helps leaders strengthen their response after crisis so fewer people get left behind. A survivor of the Boston Marathon bombing, she brings lived experience and long-term perspective to her work on leadership, recovery, and invisible human impact.
As a speaker and writer, Manya focuses on what happens after crisis response ends—when systems move on and people are still affected. Her work examines how unseen psychological and cultural consequences shape organizations, communities, and institutions long after public attention fades.
She has spoken nationally on the importance of recognizing invisible harm and sustaining responsibility after disruption, including at the Pennsylvania Governor’s Emergency Management Conference, the National Homeland Security Conference, TEDx, and SXSW. She has also worked with Congresswoman Ayanna Pressley on the Post-Disaster Mental Health Response Act, which expanded federal mental health support for disaster and terrorism survivors.
In addition to her speaking and advisory work, Manya is the founder and principal of Alley424 Communications, a boutique agency specializing in research-driven, long-form content. Through all of her work, she helps leaders navigate recovery with greater awareness, accountability, and long-term impact in mind.
