A few of the people I encounter every day for whom I’m grateful: The cashier at the local fast food restaurant where I often stop for a soda–she always seems happy to see me If you’re anywhere near Boston or plan to be any time soon, get yourself to the new Art of the Americas wing of the MFA. It’s fabulous! Have you ever had the experience of suddenly discovering something in your own city? Perhaps something you walk by every day but never really look at or a building you only see at street level. A thing that, for one brief moment, you view through fresh eyes. Today I walked past a corner I walk past [...] One of my favorite activities: Standing in Belle Isle Marsh and watching planes approach Logan Airport to land on runway 22L or 22R. They’re close enough it feels like you can reach up and grab the landing gear. (Earplugs make it a slightly less jarring experience.) |
